Samuel grew up in Oxford, studying ‘cello and piano as well as being a chorister from an early age. He studied music at King’s College London, graduating with first class honours. Samuel received a Masters in Composition for Screen, passing with distinction from the Royal College of Music in London. Here he was awarded the Clifton Parker and Constant and Kit Lambert Scholarship, supported by the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
Samuel has a wealth of experience gained through orchestration, programming, and music preparation for mainstream Hollywood Cinema and European Film. Samuel has worked with George Fenton, Dario Marianelli, Avshalom Caspi, and Samuel Sim among other notable composers.
Samuel composes music for film, TV, radio, and audio-drama as well as a number of recent choral commissions and library music published by Cavendish Music, EMI/Faber Music, and Spartan Press. He enjoys collaborating with a number of directors and animators and exploring diverse musical approaches, working from his studio in London.
